The advent of the concept of nanotechnology, proposed some time in
year 1959, has resulted in bridging the gap at atomic and molecular
scales in fundamental science and at micro-structural levels in
engineering and technology. Materials and devices are being
redefined at just not Micro, but also at Nano and Pico levels. This
has lead to a revolution of such a scale that the Nano Science
Foundation has predicted the creation of goods and / services worth
one Trillion US Dollars by year 2015. Innovation has a special significance in the emergence and the development of the nanotechnology sector. It has lead to the development of quality research output and societal applications. Those working in the field of nanotechnology have had to employ out of the box style thinking and venture long and hard to define innovative ideas. This in turn has resulted in the formulation of new materials as well as processes and has culminated into novel products for use in many scientific applications. Although this has promoted many major achievements, e.g. nano carbon tubes, nano fibers, selective drug delivery etc, still, much more need to be researched. Thus, the quest continues! Therefore, the theme, which is based on the above ideology, for the ICC 2015 conference is “Applied Physics & Material Science - Innovative Materials, Processes, Products and Applications”. The ICC 2015 conference, with the proposed theme, will assist all those working in the field of Applied Physics & Material Science in taking the next big step in their quest. |

Conference Objective The objective of the ICC 2015 conference is to give a common platform to academicians, R & D Executives, Scientists, Industrialists, from the field of Material Science, to interact, exchange knowledge, deliberate upon and disseminate innovative ideas. As mentioned in the theme, the need of the hour is the provision of such a platform. In this context, it is befitting that College of Engineering & Technology, Bikaner, India, in collaboration with national premier Institutions, R & D organizations and Industries, are organizing, timely, an International Conference on the said topic. This conference would assist in providing a clear understanding of the implementation plans focusing on the development of future Material Science Programmes. |
